Wheeler & Gray provided structural engineering services for a $5 million industrial building. The facility is an 17,000 square foot two-story building that will house offices, locker rooms, storage, tool crib, engineering offices, conference room, equipment repair area, a high bay area with a bridge crane and a training room. The structural systems are composed of roof and floor framing of concrete fill over metal deck supported by steel beams, girders and columns. The lateral resisting system consists of special steel moment frames with a typical spread footing foundation system. The exterior of the building consists of a stucco plaster finish over metal studs. The building is currently under construction.
